When must I pay for my transport?

We will NEVER ask you for an upfront reservation payment. We’ll obtain all the details and go over your options with you prior to your commitment. Upon your acceptance of the logistics we require a a reservation fee for fuel and to reserve your spot on the hauler. This which can be paid by credit or debit card on the phone or on our website. The remaining balance of the payment will be made either at delivery depending on your preference between cash, certified check, money order, or other certified funds.

How long will it take to transport my vehicle?

The actual time of transit can vary because the carrier who works with you can’t control acts of God such as inclement weather or excessive traffic. However we do have general estimates as far as how long your transport will take if everything runs as usual. Our Dispatch team will always be in touch if any delays do occur.

How much advanced notice should I give you for pickup of my vehicle?

We encourage you to contact us as soon as you know when you need your vehicle shipped. Preferably, a week or more is the optimal time for advanced notice. However, we can always put our dispatch team to work for delivery as soon as you need it. We have a vast network of carriers across the country and work Internationally as well, so finding you a driver promptly should be no problem.

Do I have to be at my vehicle’s pick up and delivery locations with my vehicle?

Your vehicle undergoes a 21 point inspection at both pickup and delivery. It’s important that if you can’t personally be there, that you arrange for a trusted third party to be there for you to make sure your vehicle is shipped the way you want. Let us know if we need to make special arrangements for you, and we will always be more than happy to oblige.

Can I pack my car with personal belongings?

You can pack up to 100 pounds in the trunk, however nothing may be in the front seat and nothing above the window line. Make sure any fragile items are secure, as it may be a long trip, and we want to account for shipping. Always let your Logistics Coordinator know if you have any questions or concerns regarding packing your vehicle, and we will be happy to help.

Is my vehicle insured during transport?

All vehicles that we ship are regulated by the DOT and are required to undergo a 21 point inspection that occurs during pickup and again during drop-off. All carriers are required by law to carry insurance at a minimum of $100,000 per slot. Again, your vehicle will be fully inspected at pickup and at drop-off and in the unlikely event that damage occurs during transit, rest assured that you’re completely covered.

How does “door-to-door” service work?
Our door-to-door services gets your vehicle picked up and dropped off promptly at the address that you designate. Occasionally a driver will not be to access a location directly due to guard gates, small roads, or low lying trees. In case of such, the driver will contact you directly to make arrangements to meet you at the closest safe location to make the pickup. We always make sure your vehicle stays on the same trailer that it is loaded on, to prevent damage during unloading and reloading onto a different hauler.

What kind of truck will be transporting my vehicle?
We offer different levels of service depending on our customers’ individual needs. The most common and most economical type of truck is an open style carrier which holds between 6-8 vehicles. Let us know what your particular needs are and we can provide the most desirable mode of transport. We also offer enclosed carriers, offering a higher level of protection against weather and road hazards. For larger heavy hauls we offer customized trailers for your freight and heavy equipment such as an extended double drop trailer or whichever hauler fits your needs.

What is your cancellation policy?
We understand that things come up and plans change. J & J Logistics prides itself on providing 100% customer satisfaction. With a minimum 7 days notice we’ll provide a full refund, and within 7 days please contact your Logistics Coordinator for case-by-case handling. We understand emergencies happen!

My vehicle doesn’t start, will you be able to transport it anyway?
For non-operational or salvage vehicles that won’t run, a special trailer is required to winch your vehicle aboard. We specialize in these transfers, and are more than happy to provide you with exemplary service. We will transport your vehicle where it needs to be, so you can get it driving again!

Is it possible to check on the location and status of my vehicle while it is being transported?

When you ship your vehicle with J & J Logistics you are assigned an expert transport coordinator who gives their direct cell phone number to you. Any questions that you have can be directed to your coordinator who will be able to assist you further. We have a state of the art tracking system installed in our trucks and can always let you know where your vehicle is. We also provide the driver’s contact information, who should be your first point of contact once your vehicle is en route to it’s destination, as the driver will have precise locations available more readily than your coordinator.
